The Village at Mountain Ridge

The Village at Mountain Ridge is a 296-home community within the City of Golden, nestled between Highway 93 and the Mt. Galbraith Open Space Park.  A trailhead for that park is within the subdivision.

It is a covenant-controlled subdivision built between 1995 and 1999 by two builders – Johnson Communities and Brittany Homes.  Most of the homes are 2-story, but there are 39 ranch-style homes. All homes have basements, and, because of the topography, many of those are walk-outs. Most of the ranch homes are 2,262 sq. ft. (not counting the basement) but there are some as small as 1,775 sq. ft.

The 2-story homes range in their above-grade square footage from 1,676 to 4,374 sq. ft. Some of the larger homes have 5-car garages!

At the heart of the Village at Mountain Ridge is White Ash Mine Park, which is maintained by the City of Golden, not the HOA.

Many of the homes back to the Mt. Galbraith Open Space Park. Above is one of those homes.  This is the biggest model, which has a 5-car tandem garage in the basement.

Being within walking distance of Clear Creek and downtown Golden is a major attraction of living in the Village at Mountain Ridge.  Another bonus is the proximity of Mitchell Elementary School (above) which is directly across Highway 93 and reachable by a pedestrian bridge, so many of the children here can walk to school!
